How to apply
Submissions open from 15th October 2018
This festival is open to young people aged 11-17.
Anyone who is interested in attending this festival must submit a video performance to audition for the festival before they are selected to participate. This video should demonstrate originality and talent, and of course showcase culture. The selection committee is particularly looking for cultural diversity, so applicants are encouraged to perform in their own language and to perform something that another applicant is not likely to also be performing.
- 3 minutes for individual performance and 5 minutes for group performance.
- Accessible on-site audio equipment excluding headsets.
- Please submit your backing track as a clearly labeled audio file (.mp3) saved on a USB. You audio file must be named with the name of the song you wish to play. Before submitting this to the competition, you must check your audio file works.
- We provide a piano at the venue. Other instruments a participant wishes to play must be provided by the participants themselves.
Please submit your video audition via WeTransfer (www.wetransfer.com) to email@example.com. Youtube, Dropbox link and email attachment are also acceptable for submitting your video audition. Write a short introduction of yourself and your performance in the message section (max 200 words).
There is a 2 GB free video limit for uploading on WeTransfer. Do not close the WeTransfer window before your video upload is completed. If your video file is larger than 2GB, please upload the video files in several files labeled with the correct file name and sequence number.
This video should be of good quality (sound and video) and recorded in the last 12 months.
After the selection committee has decided if your video audition was successful, you will be invited to attend the festival as a Full Performing Participating.
